The 3M 26458 PPS Series 2.0 Shaker Core allows paint to be mixed and shaken directly inside the sealed PPS 2.0 disposable cupeliminating the need for a separate open mixing container, reducing solvent exposure during mixing, and keeping the paint sealed and uncontaminated from mixing through spraying.
Without a shaker core, metallic and pearl basecoats must be mixed in an open cup or shaker attachment, then transferred into the PPS linera step that introduces contamination risk and solvent evaporation. The Shaker Core eliminates this step: mix in the cup, seal the lid, shake, and spray. Used in production refinish environments where minimizing solvent exposure and contamination is both a quality and regulatory priority.
